People credited with this unit standard are able to: use a tug''s equipment and systems; use cordage and wire handling skills aboard a tug; connect, disconnect, and retrieve tow lines aboard a tug; operate a tug''s emergency towage release equipment; assist in pre- and post-operational duties; perform bridge duties; and conduct man overboard procedures.
