People credited with this unit standard are able to: manage tug and tug resources; assess requirements and determine methods for towing/pushing of any object; carry out pre- and post-towage procedures; manoeuvre a tug to assist vessels with berthing and unberthing operations; and perform emergency manoeuvres.
