People credited with this unit standard are able to: use pilot launch equipment and systems; assess pilot ladder rigging to ensure safe transfer of personnel; assist in the transfer of personnel and property to and from a vessel; assist in pre- and post-operational duties; perform bridge duties; and conduct man overboard procedures.
