People credited with this unit standard are able to: prepare for piloting a trip as a Class 2 pilot; manage route hazards and provide warnings as a Class 2 pilot; direct and communicate with other traffic as a Class 2 pilot; carry out post-trip duties as a Class 2 pilot; and describe procedures to follow in the event of accident and emergency as a Class 2 pilot.
