This unit standard is for fire fighters who act as a member of an entry team at aircraft incidents at the point where external fire control measures are in place but hazardous conditions may still be present inside the aircraft.
People credited with this unit standard are able to:
. prepare for and effect entry into an aircraft in an emergency;
. carry out internal aircraft fire fighting; and
. stabilise the situation within the aircraft.
