This unit standard is intended for people who are members of the New Zealand Cadet Forces or those interested in the New Zealand Defence Force.
People credited with this unit standard are able to: demonstrate basic knowledge of firearms safety; identify key components of a rifle; demonstrate safe handling of a rifle in NZCF activities; demonstrate the use of a rifle in NZCF activities; and strip and clean a rifle.
