People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of heavy machine and equipment tyres, types and sizes; abnormal wear on heavy machine and equipment tyres; heavy machine and equipment tyre hazards; tyre repair techniques and maintenance requirements; heavy machine and equipment wheels; and can describe inspection checks for tyres and wheels.
