This unit standard is intended for anyone involved in Civil Defence Emergency Management (CDEM) rescue functions at height.
People credited with this unit standard are able to: demonstrate knowledge of rope and tape used in general rescue; demonstrate knots used in general rescue; use ladders to rescue casualties in the rescue environment; and use lowering techniques in the rescue environment.
