This unit standard is designed for forestry crew personnel who have the skills, knowledge, and experience required to work autonomously and are able to undertake supervision duties for new crew members.
People credited with this unit standard are able to: demonstrate knowledge of response to a forestry emergency; manage the site of a serious forestry accident in a simulated situation; explain the requirements and procedures for notification of relevant parties; explain employer duties in regard to accidents at a forestry site; and explain the duties of relevant parties when releasing the site of an accident.
