People credited with this unit standard will be able to: demonstrate and apply knowledge of preparing to set a spindle moulder for straight fence work in furniture making; set a spindle moulder with cutter-head and straight fences to machine wooden furniture components; set a spindle moulder with saw blade and straight fences to machine wooden furniture components; and set a spindle moulder to machine stop cuts for furniture making.
