People credited with this unit standard are, to Gliding New Zealand Solo Pilot standards, able to demonstrate: self-preparation checks and procedures, aircraft handling in flight, circuiting and landing procedures, minimum speed and unusual attitude competence under supervision of an instructor, and launch procedures. They are also able to complete the Gliding New Zealand Solo Pilot certificate requirements.
