People credited with this unit standard are able to: describe health and safety legislation and guidelines relevant to log truck operations; the safe loading and unloading practices in log truck operations; and safe log truck driving practices in a forest environment.
They are also able to demonstrate knowledge of: risks and risk management for log truck drivers; the general safety requirements for log truck driving in a forest environment; and log truck operator procedures used in the event of a forest emergency.
