People credited with this unit standard are able to: demonstrate knowledge of basic concepts of quality management and the basic quality systems used in the wood manufacturing industries; recognise methods used for the continuous improvement of a production process; and demonstrate knowledge of the quality control process used at the production level in wood manufacturing industries.
This unit standard is designed for people who are, or wish to be, involved in the wood manufacturing industries, and aims to develop their knowledge of basic quality systems in the industry at the production level. It is not designed for the quality management practitioner.
