Strategic Purpose Statement |
This qualification is a core qualification designed for people who are entering a career in the Boating industry. It is a combination of theoretical and practical skills which can be acquired on or off job. The qualification is designed to ensure that people entering the industry have an understanding of the industry, elementary technical knowledge, and skills in reading, writing, mathematics and interpersonal skills that will enable them to pursue a career in boatbuilding and maintenance, boat sales and brokerage, marine electrical or electronics, or marine design. It is envisaged that this qualification will be attained mainly in an off job environment.
This qualification is a prerequisite to all other qualifications that have been developed by the Boating ITO. |
