Strategic Purpose Statement |
On completion of this programme, students will be able to: Explain and use the nature of the writing as a basis for informing people and enriching information flows; work collaboratively and creatively in multidisciplinary teams on projects; use appropriate communication software to develop solutions to technical and professional writing problems in industry and business;Read and interpret accurately the client, business or project briefs; Design technical information and documents which can be accessed by non-technical audiences.

Entry Requirements |
Applicants shall:a. Have achieved at least three ?C? passes in the NZ University Bursaries Examination or equivalent; orb. Have successfully completed the Unitec Certificate in Foundation Studies: Whitinga (Level 3) with a relevant endorsement; orc. Have attained the age of 20 yeasr on or before the first day of the semester in which study for the certificate is to commence and can provide evidence of aptitude or appropriate work or other experience.Applicants who do not meet the General Admission requirements may be admitted to the programme if they have sixth form certificate of 10 or less, including English, or a National Qualifications Framework equivalent.

The credit value relates to the size of the qualification. One credit equates to ten hours of learning. One year's full-time study at a provider is usually 120 credits, but if you are studying part-time or in the work place the credit value may vary.
