Strategic Purpose Statement
The primary aim of the programme is to increase the development potential of hap? and iwi by teaching practical and theoretical entrepreneurial skills, including the ability to draw on kaupapa and tikanga M?ori. The primary focus of the programme is toward collective entrepreneurship, through involvement with iwi, hap?, r?nanga, marae, or r?p? tuku iho. Through this, M?ori entrepreneurship will contribute towards "improving the prospect of survival of M?ori as a people" (Nga Akoranga, 2007). The programme seeks to produce entrepreneurs who are distinguishable by the way that they do their business.

Entry Requirements
Applicants will enter the programme either by
i) preparation through formal studies by way of a 3-year undergraduate degree subject to the following requirement: that the degree includes studies in business skills or the enrolee completes satisfactorily the course Small Business Planning, a 3rd-year course offered by TWOR through the Bachelor of M?ori and Administration, or the satisfactory completion of a comparable course; or
ii) by way of an accumulation of advanced experience in business and organisational development, which may comprise or include substantial completion in developmental activity of a r?p? tuku iho.
Applicants must also have competence in te reo M?ori that is comparable to or higher than required of year 3 studies at TWOR, that is the satisfactory completion of TE REO 3; or that is comparable to National Certificate Reo at level 3-4; or that is assessed by TWOR to be sufficient to be given entry to Whakatupu i Te Reo, MReo1A.
