Strategic Purpose Statement |
The course will provide fundamental employment and personal skills and knowledge that will enable graduates to succeed on a pathway to further training or entry-level employment. The programme has a strong emphasis on practical and adventure based learning with a primary focus on the acquisition and enhancement of literacy, numeracy and language skills. Graduates will gain foundation skills and a basic level of understanding in a specific vocation - computing, hospitality, or sport/fitness - providing them with a National Certificate and a pathway towards further study or entry-level employment in this field.

Entry Requirements |
Entry is limited to those students who meet the requirements for the Youth Guarentee scheme. Applicants must: -Be 16 or 17 years of age and not turn 18 months within 3 months of commencing their course -Have completed year 11 and have not gained a NCEA Level 2 qualification; -Be a new student to tertiary study (STAR courses excluded); -Be a New Zealand citizen or have New Zealand permanent residency; -Enrol in full-time study; -Agree to the conditions of being a Youth Guarantee student;
