Strategic Purpose Statement
The Graduate Diploma in Management is designed to introduce and develop students in the key areas of business required to facilitate a career pathway in business and management. Provide a vehicle for people with relevant employment history and experience to demonstrate their acquired knowledge and competence in various organisational contexts, and attain credentials and to provide a staircase to higher level study. The Graduate Diploma in Management is aimed at: Degree graduates - domestic and international wishing to supplement their previous area of study, industry personnel currently employed with relevant industry experience and people seeking to retrain.
Graduate profile
Students will develop knowledge and understanding of the theory and practical applications of strategic management, human resource management, leadership, project management, change management, business analytics and intelligence, and organisational behaviour, preparing graduates for career opportunities across a wide spectrum of industry in a number of disciplines, including: Organisational Development and Change, Project Management, Human Resources, General Management and Business Ownership.
Education pathways
Students graduating with the Graduate Diploma in Management may: Progress to graduate study at other Tertiary Institutes, Pursue further undergraduate study at WelTec or other Tertiary Institutes or enter the work force

Entry Requirements
A bachelor's degree in another discipline or equivalent practical, professional or educational experience of an appropriate kind.
Applicants obtained the academic entry qualification in New Zealand or at an institution where English was the language of instruction and assessment or IELTS 6.5 Academic (no lower than 6 in any subtests) or equivalent

Credits

The credit value relates to the size of the qualification. One credit equates to ten hours of learning. One year's full-time study at a provider is usually 120 credits, but if you are studying part-time or in the work place the credit value may vary.
