Strategic Purpose Statement
This qualification provides learners with advanced skills and knowledge relevant to the tissue converting sector of the pulp and paper industry.

Graduates will be responsible for managing the operation and changeover of tissue conversion plant and equipment that is complex in terms of the decision making and troubleshooting skills required to meet full operational capacity.

Graduates will also supervise the work of other employees in the changeover and operation of tissue converting plant and equipment.
Graduate profile
Graduates of this qualification will be able to:

- Manage, monitor and control the operation and changeover of complex tissue converting machinery to meet and/or improve on plant performance, process, and quality requirements.
- Apply technical skills and knowledge of complex tissue converting machinery to maximise process and/or machine performance.

This qualification builds on the New Zealand Certificate in Tissue Converting (Level 3) [Ref: 1867].

This qualification may lead to the New Zealand Certificate in Competitive Systems and Practices (Level 4) [Ref: 2999].
