Strategic Purpose Statement
It is the aim of this programme to prepare graduates who have developed life long learning as a core competency of a leader or manager in the Pacific NGO sector. The programme will develop their organisational and leadership knowledge and skills at an advanced level to empower themselves and others, to achieve organisational goals and contribute to organisation and sector capacity building while demonstrating a values-based approach to leading and/or managing a Pacific based NGO.
Graduate profile
The graduate of the Grad Cert PNLM programme will:
- Be able to apply, critical thinking and analytical rigour as applied to Pacific NGO organisational management and leadership.
- Have the skills to evaluate multiple perspectives of internal and external NGO stakeholders Have the knowledge and skills to effectively contribute to the management and leadership of a Pacific based NGO.
- Apply knowledge of the principles of sustainable and effective organisation practice in the context of NGO leadership and management.
- Be able to apply sound moral and professional judgment to their own leadership and management practice in the context of Pacific NGOs.
- Be able to work collaboratively and strategically to achieve Pacific NGO organisational mission and goals.
- Be able to communicate effectively and maintain positive stakeholder relationships in a Pacific setting/context.
- Be confident learners able to engage in self-directed learning and advanced study relevant to NGO management and leadership and be able to demonstrate capacity for lifelong learning.

Level

Credits

The credit value relates to the size of the qualification. One credit equates to ten hours of learning. One year's full-time study at a provider is usually 120 credits, but if you are studying part-time or in the work place the credit value may vary.
