Strategic Purpose Statement |
The aim of this programme is to provide a qualification that equips its graduates to deliver effective creative Design Thinking problem solving into our improvisational, multicultural and internationally aspirant business and public organisations. It also enables students to develop the specialist knowledge and skills, including strategic and creative thinking, analysis and synthesis, required to operate as a Design Thinker in multiple and diverse contexts.

Graduate profile |
Graduates of the Master of Design Thinking (Business Solutions) Level 9 will:
be able to lead, advocate and master the process, methods, concepts, theory and principles of Design Thinking relevant in diverse contexts * demonstrate an advanced knowledge of the centrality of empathy in Design Thinking and be able to apply it * demonstrate empowering leadership that results in teams that are cohesive, energised and effective * be able to engage in rigorous intellectual research and analysis, reflection, criticism, and innovatively resolve problems through enquiry * be able to activate and motivate a diverse range of people through inspirational visual and verbal argument to demonstrate how professional practice is improved through reflection * be able to engage in rigorous intellectual analysis, criticism and problem solving. |

Education pathways |
The Master of Design Thinking, (Business Solutions) Level 9 further develops skills and knowledge gained in an undergraduate degree. Knowledge of Design Thinking roles, theory, processes and methods are acquired and then applied in industry projects in a range of contexts.
Graduates of the Master of Design Thinking, (Business Solutions) Level 9 may progress to further study in the discipline of their undergraduate degree or in a discipline related to Design Thinking such as Design Anthropology. Graduates of the Postgraduate Diploma in Design Thinking, (Business Solutions) Level 8 may progress to further study at Master's level in either the discipline of their undergraduate degree or in other associated disciplines eg Master of Philosophy. They may also want to compete the second year of the programme and gain a Master in Design Thinking, (Business Solutions) Level 9. If they choose to do this, they will need to complete their master's programme within six years from the date of their first enrolment in the Postgraduate Diploma. |

Entry Requirements |
Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree in any subject, discipline or area of specialisation, or relevant prior experience.
International students must also have achieved an overall IELTS of 6.5 in the academic module test with no band score lower than 6. |
