Graduate profile |
You will learn to create targeted exercise programmes and prescribe them to improve population health and wellness.
The programme will focus on how physical activity and associated disciplines, enables people to take control, and to improve, their health and wellness outcomes. You will look at both individual behaviour as well as a wide range of social and environmental interventions in population health and will also gain knowledge of physical activity for special populations. The programme provides significant opportunity for applied research, research projects and work placements. |

Entry Requirements |
A Bachelor of Applied or Health Science or equivalent in any field excluding Physical Activity and Health Promotion or equivalent.
Alternative Requirements Additional Requirements If your degree was completed more than five years ago you must also have current relevant work experience. English Requirements If English is not your first language you may also be required to provide evidence of your English language skills as listed below. If you have no evidence of your English language skills and are a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, contact us for an assessment. IELTS 6.5 Academic (no lower than 6.0 in reading and writing subtests and 7.0 in listening and speaking subtests). ). For acceptable alternatives, including NCEA, refer to the English Proficiency Outcomes Chart. |
