Through the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Enterprise (PGDipBE) we can help you to identify an opportunity in your business or can help you with the design and development of new, entrepreneurial business ventures. Entry Requirements
Applicants in this category will have:

a) graduated with a degree or honours degree in any discipline from a New Zealand tertiary institution accredited to offer qualifications at this level;

or

b) graduated with a degree from an overseas tertiary institution, deemed by the Academic Committee to be of equivalent standing.

Option 2: Special Application
Notwithstanding the above application criteria, in exceptional circumstances an applicant who does not hold a prescribed tertiary qualification may be eligible for special application to the programme if he or she can demonstrate knowledge and skills equivalent to a Bachelor level graduate, and can provide evidence of relevant work experience. Applicants seeking entry under this criterion must also be able to demonstrate that they have the aptitude, commitment and personal skills such as suggest the likelihood of successful course completion. In some cases the applicant may have to complete an approved course or programme which is deemed to prepare students for the required academic standard for entry.

The following requirements apply to all applicants
a) Applicants are required to provide two confidential references from people who are able to affirm that the applicant is of good character and reputation.

b) Applicants whose first language is not English, or who come from a country where the language of instruction in schools is not English, must provide evidence of having successfully completed English instruction to a level deemed appropriate by the Programme Area Leader. Evidence may include official transcripts and/or recognised English test results, such as IELTS and TOEFL. (See English Language Entry requirements below.)

c) The Programme Area Leader will determine the maximum number of students permitted to enrol in this programme. If there are more applicants than places available, students will be selected primarily on academic ability.

All enrolments in the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Enterprise programme are at the discretion of the Programme Area Leader.

English language requirements
All applicants must have a level of English sufficient to be able to study at this level. Those students whose first language is not English should have:

An international English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall academic score of at least 6.5 (with at least 6.0 in each band) issued within the last two years or equivalent.
If you do not have an IELTS test score, you may send us other evidence of your English language level.

Credits

The credit value relates to the size of the qualification. One credit equates to ten hours of learning. One year's full-time study at a provider is usually 120 credits, but if you are studying part-time or in the work place the credit value may vary.
