This qualification is designed for ākonga/learners wanting to develop broad technical skills and conceptual knowledge in jewellery creative practice.

The decorative arts and related fields of creativity will benefit from graduates who can apply broad capabilities in jewellery creative practice.

Graduates will be able to operate independently in creative and commercial environments.

Graduates of this qualification will be able to:

- Apply a broad range of technical skills, tools and technologies, materials knowledge and creative processes to design, make and present a range of jewellery with precision and economy.
- Apply professional business practices to independently and safely manage jewellery creation projects in response to a range of design briefs.
- Apply knowledge of the elements and principles of jewellery design through development of design concepts and creative techniques.
- Apply knowledge of historical and contemporary decorative arts technical and conceptual influences to inform and develop own jewellery creation practice.
- Apply knowledge of jewellery design principles and creative practices to evaluate the precision, economy, aesthetic value and quality of jewellery.

Credits
