Strategic Purpose Statement |
This qualification provides the automotive sector with individuals who have attained the knowledge and skills required to safely and effectively diagnose and repair faults in diesel fuel injection systems.
The qualification has been designed for individuals who intend to work as automotive technicians, or technicians enhancing their existing skills and knowledge in a diesel fuel injection context. Graduates of this qualification can work independently and may have some responsibility for monitoring the workplace. |

Graduates of this qualification will be able to:
- Apply health and safety requirements to an automotive workplace. - Diagnose faults and repair diesel fuel mechanical, and electronic, delivery systems. - Diagnose faults and repair air induction systems. |

Education pathways |
Graduates of this qualification may progress to higher level study in business management such as the New Zealand Diploma in Business (Level 5) with strands in Accounting, Administration and Technology, Human Resource Management, Leadership and Management, Marketing and Sales, and Project Management [Ref: 2459].
