Strategic Purpose Statement
The aim of this programme is to prepare graduates to succeed in emergent professional fields for career paths which focus on making a difference to communities, enterprises and environments in a constantly changing global environment, it also prepares people to enter current professional fields (excluding regulated professions) well equipped to adapt to rapid or significant change.
Graduate profile
On completion of the qualification, graduates will be able to demonstrate the following competencies and capabilities to make a difference in communities, enterprises and environments:

1 Apply competencies and capabilities to enable transformational change in communities, enterprises and environments.
2 Integrate an appreciation of the bicultural context of Aotearoa New Zealand and the Treaty of Waitangi within an emergent professional framework.
3 Articulate ethical and sustainability frameworks such that they act as sustainable practitioners.
4 Recognise and incorporate one's own values, mindsets and biases within a grounded theoretical framework.
5 Create and maintain healthy relationships and collaborations in communities and organisations.
6 Synthesise experiences, capabilities and competencies to create an emergent professional framework of practice.
Education pathways
It is expected that graduates of the Bachelor Leadership for Change will be able to gain entry into relevant postgraduate qualifications (dependent on meeting programme-specific entry criteria). With several years' professional practice experience, we would expect graduates to gain entry into postgraduate programmes that align with their professional frameworks of practice.
Employment pathways
Graduates of this programme can expect to gain employment at competent practitioner level within a professional setting. Employment may be with or within organisations, social enterprises, communities, hapū or iwi, or emergent professional fields for career paths which focus on making a difference to communities, enterprises and environments in a constantly changing global environment.

The degree is structured around highly personalised projects and placements designed for immediate real world impact. Entry Requirements
* If you are under 20, you must have NCEA Level 3 including 14 credits at Level 3 or above in three NZQA approved university entrance subjects, and Literacy: 10 credits at Level 2 or above, made up of 5 credits in reading and 5 credits in writing, and Numeracy: 10 credits at Level 1 or above, achievement standards - specified achievement standards available through a range of subjects, or unit standards - package of three numeracy unit standards (26623, 26626, 26627- all three required).
* If you are over 20, you must supply evidence of industry experience and/or alternative relevant qualifications.
* International students must also achieve a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0, with no band score less than 5.5, or equivalent, from one test taken in the preceding two years.
* Otago Polytechnic's policy AP0520.03 English Language Requirements for Those for whom English is an Additional Language also applies.

Credits
