Strategic Purpose Statement |
The aim of this programme, with specialisations in Marketing, Construction Project Management, Project Management, Supply Chain and Logistics Management and Healthcare Management, is to enable experienced professionals and graduates of these specialisations seeking advanced managerial capability to critically examine management theories and practices and to undertake applied research so that they can:
develop advanced strategic leadership and management capabilities to lead organisational transformation in complex and dynamic environments; and develop high-level skills and knowledge for leading, managing and transforming organizations within an environment of ubiquitous and continuous change; and apply this knowledge and these skills to contemporary organizations specialising with particular emphasis in areas of Marketing, Construction Project Management, Project Management, Logistics and Supply Chain and Healthcare Management in Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally. |

Graduate profile |
Graduates of the Master of Management will be able to:
1. Evaluate and apply advanced contemporary management theories to emerging situations in an organization. 2. Create an internal organisation culture with strong employee engagement, collaboration and teamwork, and ongoing learning and development in the changing environment. 3. Analyse, synthesise and communicate information, plans, policies and strategies to enhance business outcomes in an organization. 4. Apply leadership and management skills to improve business performance within an organisation in Aotearoa New Zealand or internationally. 5. Graduates of the Marketing strand will be able to critically evaluate and apply advanced marketing analytics, consumer behaviour theory, and AI-enabled marketing tools to design and implement data-driven marketing strategies in complex organisational contexts. 6. Graduates of the Construction Project Management strand will be able to critically evaluate and apply advanced project planning, risk management, and sustainability frameworks to the delivery of complex construction and infrastructure projects. 7. Graduates of the Project Management strand will be able to plan, lead, and evaluate complex projects and programmes by applying advanced project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and risk management principles to deliver strategic organisational outcomes in diverse professional contexts. 8. Graduates of the Supply Chain and Logistics strand will be able to analyse, design, and optimise integrated supply chain and logistics systems using advanced analytical tools, sustainability principles, and global best-practice frameworks to enhance operational efficiency, resilience, and value creation. 9. Graduates of the Healthcare strand will be able to apply advanced management and leadership principles within healthcare and health-related organisations, integrating policy, quality improvement, and ethical decision-making to improve service delivery, organisational performance, and patient-centred outcomes. |

Entry Requirements |
A completed application form.
For study options 1a, 1b, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6: Original transcripts showing a Bachelor's degree or a Graduate Diploma in a business-related subject, or a subject relevant to the specialised strand, from a recognized institution, including full transcripts; OR Evidence of acquiring the relevant skills and knowledge through appropriate work or professional experience in business or an area relevant to the specialised strand. For study option 1c: Original transcripts showing a Master's degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or other NQF Level 8 qualification in a business-related subject from a recognized institution, including full transcripts; OR Original transcripts showing a Master's degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or other NQF Level 8 qualification in any subject from a recognized institution, including full transcripts, combined with a minimum of 3 years' relevant managerial and practical experience. ICL will consider the applicant's academic achievement, work history, and evidence of preparedness for advance study and research at Master's level. A scanned PDF will be sufficient to progress the application, but original documents will be required on arrival at ICL Graduate Business School. Failure to provide original documents will result in the cancellation of the enrollment. For international students, Academic IELTS with a minimum score of 6.5 overall (with no band score lower than 6.0 and gained within the past two years in one examination), or any other equivalent approved by NZQA. Credit transfer or RPL of up to 50% of the total credits, i.e. up to 90 of the 180 credits, required for the qualification will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis. ICL Graduate Business School also strongly recommends that a Personal Statement, written by the applicant, is attached to the application explaining why they believe they should study the programme, their motivations and further aspirations. |
