Strategic Purpose Statement
The Postgraduate Certificate in Wine Business and Innovation is a Level 8 programme of 60 credits, which enables students who have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Viticulture, Wine Science or similar, and/ or suitable work experience to achieve a postgraduate level qualification in the Wine Business and Innovation area.
The programme can be completed in 6 months full-time or up to 4 years part-time, depending on the student's previous study and experience, and specific course preferences.

Entry Requirements
The academic entry requirement for the Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma in Wine Business and Innovation is one of the following:
* an NZQF-listed undergraduate degree (or equivalent) or
* at the Dean's discretion, where an applicant's situation is compelling but not covered by the requirements listed above.

The Postgraduate Certficate consists of a total of 60 credits comprising 4 courses at Level 8 completed over one semester fulltime or up two years partime: All applicants must demonstrate an acceptable level of English language fluency prior to acceptance in the programme. For international students, ways in which English language fluency may be demonstrated include the following:
* successful study of a programme in which English was the language of instruction (subject to the conditions in EIT's Database for English Language Proficiency (DELP))
* completion of a New Zealand Certificate in English Language (Level 5 with any endorsement)
* IELTS Academic score of 6.5, with no band score lower than 6, achieved in a single test within the two years preceding enrolment
* accepted international equivalents to the above IELTS scores, achieved in a single test within the two years preceding enrolment (see equivalency tables in the DELP).
Must include at least 3 of the following 15 credit courses:
? WBI 8.100 Technology and Innovation in the Wine Industry.
? WBI 8.200 Sustainability in the Wine Industry
? WBI 8.300 Global Wine Marketing
? WBI 8.400 Entrepreneurship in Wine Businesses
? WBI 8.500 Current Issues in the Global and Domestic Wine Industry
Plus one elective from either the EIT Master of Applied Management, Master of Logistics and Supply Chain Management or Master of Digital Business (15 credit Courses). For example:

? DBPG8.200 Digital Marketing
? DBPG8.300 Digital Entrepreneurship and Innovation
