Strategic Purpose Statement |
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the traffic incident management industry with people who can apply and maintain controls in a dynamic and reactive environment, for the safety of traffic and other incident response personnel.
Graduates of this qualification will be able to operate under indirect supervision as part of a traffic incident management team or as a lone responder at an incident on a road network. |

Graduates of this qualification will be able to:
- Apply communication methods and escalation requirements to maintain the safety of responders during an incident on a road network. - Respond, monitor and adjust the incident response to restore normal traffic flow and reduce incident duration. - Complete post incident requirements to re-open an incident site on a road network. |
