Year 1 focuses on providing a shared foundation of knowledge in design, web, graphic design, and marketing. Courses that develop an entrepreneurial mindset and resilience are then introduced and the first year concludes with a campaign course to create the first fusion of creative and marketing skills to produce creative marketing executions.

Year 2 consists of six compulsory papers, each worth 15 credits, to develop a breadth of specialist knowledge. Creative and marketing courses are strategically intertwined to build connections between these two fields. This is interspersed with the development of project and stakeholder management skills which are often needed in the industry. Students are able to choose a specialist stream to build on their foundational knowledge and select a specific area of employment.

In the third year of the degree the weighting moves to leadership development, strategy and new business models. Marketers normally work with restrictions with creative properties and decision makers, and the various problem-based studio courses replicate those conditions in a creative setting in a group dynamic. BDI323 Industry Practice Studio is a capstone project that wraps around the capabilities and learning outcomes of the entire bachelor programme for students to produce a body of design work and strategy at an industry standard.
