Strategic Purpose Statement |
The NZQF Diploma in Design is for exclusive delivery in China and provides an applied vocational qualification that enables graduates to apply theoretical and technical knowledge and skills to complex projects in specialised areas of the design industry.
This qualification includes both graphic design and digital design contexts, which will apply across the Graduate Profile. The qualification will provide graduates who can operate independently as an individual, or as a member of a team. |

Graduates of this qualification will be able to:
- Apply problem solving skills to complex design challenges in a design studio environment. - Manage a design process to meet requirements of complex project briefs. - Apply specialist practical and conceptual skills in the creation of complex design solutions. - Apply knowledge of leadership, ethics, and current business practice to individual and collaborative work in a design studio environment. - Analyse and apply specialised design skills, knowledge, theory, and competencies to solve complex design problems when working within the design sector. - Context Outcome: The chosen context will be applied across all Graduate Profile Outcomes. |

The credit value relates to the size of the qualification. One credit equates to ten hours of learning. One year's full-time study at a provider is usually 120 credits, but if you are studying part-time or in the work place the credit value may vary.
