Qualification Type Micro-credential
Level 6

Subject Area

Strategic Purpose Statement
The primary purpose of the Micro-credential is to provide learners with advanced skills in digital product design and delivery through professional practice in a work placement project. The aim is to enable learners to gain experience, practice the application of digital and technical skills and improve their work readiness to increase their chances of success in roles in the context of their practice as (for example) product developers, user experience designers, business analysts, or data analysts.
Graduate profile
This Micro-credential will allow learners to safely practice and develop their in-work skills in a real-world scenario within a workplace, under the guidance and instruction of a facilitator. It should be noted that while the learners will almost always successfully develop an acceptable digital technical product solution, the outcome of the Micro-credential is focused on the learner's development of the skills required to produce the solution, rather than the solution itself.
