Strategic Purpose Statement |
The purpose of this qualification is to provide New Zealand business entities that are using and or implementing an operational excellence strategy, with people who have the skills and knowledge to identify, implement and sustain process improvements in their workplace.
This qualification is designed for people who will be using and or contributing to the implementation of operational excellence within their workplace. Graduates will be able to contribute to the identification and implementation of operational excellence concepts under limited supervision. |

Graduates of this qualification will be able to:
- Identify waste and wasteful activities within a process or practice in own workplace and take action to minimise. - Identify cost factors within own workplace and own control and take action to improve cost efficiency. - Apply operational excellence concepts to implement improvements in own workplace. - Identify and assess the impact of change resulting from the implementation of workplace improvements in own work. - Sustain the implemented workplace improvements to own work. |

The credit value relates to the size of the qualification. One credit equates to ten hours of learning. One year's full-time study at a provider is usually 120 credits, but if you are studying part-time or in the work place the credit value may vary.
