Strategic Purpose Statement |
This qualification provides ropeways operators with individuals who can work safely, effectively and independently as maintenance engineers for passenger ropeway systems, with an optional strand in conveyor systems for those who maintain surface conveyor systems.
The qualification is for individuals who are already working within the passenger ropeway industry. Graduates of this qualification will be able to work independently to maintain safe and effective operations and working conditions for passenger ropeways. |

Graduates of this qualification will be able to:
- Apply specialised maintenance engineering techniques and knowledge to passenger ropeway systems in compliance with legislation, regulations, and industry standards, for safe, reliable, and efficient operations. - Maintain, service, and repair electrical systems in passenger ropeways, in compliance with regulatory and safety standards. - Lead rigging operations for lifting and slinging mechanical components in passenger ropeway systems. Graduates of the Conveyor Systems strand will also be able to: - Apply specialised maintenance engineering to conveyor systems to maintain safe, reliable, and compliant operations. |
