He tohu tēnei hei whakarauora i te reo mā te āta whakatau i te tauira ki te whakamahi i ngā mātauranga tūāpapa reo, tikanga Māori hoki.
He mea e tutuki ai ngā whāinga ā-iwi, ā-hapori Māori o Aotearoa anō hoki e whakatupu āheitanga ana ki te hiranga nui o te reo me ngā tikanga Māori ki te tuakiri tangata, te ao Māori me Aotearoa. Ka taea e te ihu puta o tēnei tohu te whakamahi i te whānui o ngā pūkenga e tika ana ki te tū Māori mā te reo me ngā tikanga Māori. The purpose of this qualification is to nurture and sustain the vitality of te reo Māori by applying introductory practical skills and mātauranga of reo and tikanga Māori. The qualification meets the needs of iwi, Māori and Aotearoa communities who are wanting to grow capability to understand the significance of reo and tikanga Māori to identity, te ao Māori and Aotearoa. Graduates of this qualification will be able to apply a range of skills necessary to self-position through reo and tikanga Māori. |

- Whakamahi i ngā āhuatanga wetereo me ngā rerenga wetereo i te ia rā. Apply reo Māori linguistic features and structures in everyday contexts - Whakapuaki i te reo Māori i ngā horopaki o te ia rā. Express te reo Māori in everyday contexts - Whakamārama i ngā tikanga me ngā whakapuakitanga ki tētahi horopaki kua tohua. Explain Māori customs and expressions in a specific context - Tautuhi i ngā pānga o tētahi huarahi ako reo Māori e tāmate rānei ai, e ora rānei ai te reo. Identify the impacts of a reo Māori learning journey toward reo vitality. |
