He tohu tēnei hei whakarauora i te reo mā te whiriwhiri, whakamahi me te whakahāngai i te whānui o ngā pūkenga whaitake me te mātauranga reo, tikanga Māori hoki.
He mea e tutuki ai ngā whāinga ā-iwi, ā- hapori Māori, o Aotearoa anō hoki e hiki ana i te hiranga nui o te reo me ngā tikanga Māori ki te tuakiri tangata, te ao Māori me Aotearoa. Ka taea e te ihu puta o tēnei tohu te whakamahi i te whānui o ngā pūkenga e tika ana ki te tū ngātahi atu ki te hapori mā te reo me ngā tikanga Māori. The purpose of this qualification is to revitalise te reo by selecting, applying, and adapting a broad range of practical skills and mātauranga of reo and tikanga Māori. The qualification meets the need of iwi, Māori and Aotearoa communities who are wanting to uphold the significance of reo and tikanga Māori to identity, te ao Māori and Aotearoa. Graduates of this qualification will be able to apply a broad range of skills necessary to socially position themselves through reo and tikanga Māori. |

Speak te reo Māori in diverse contexts - Whakaatu i te pūkengatanga me te mātauranga Māori ki ngā horopaki kanorau. Demonstrate skills and knowledge of te ao Māori concepts in diverse contexts - Waihanga i tētahi mahere reo ā-hapori e whai wāhi nei ngā rautaki whakarauora.
