Strategic Purpose Statement |
The purpose of this programme is to provide Korean-speaking students with a foundational theological qualification that supports ministry practice, personal development, and academic progression.
It is designed for: * Korean-speaking students seeking theological education in their primary language for ministry employment, volunteer service, or personal growth. * Korean churches in NZ aiming to professionally develop current and future leaders for ministry and church planting. * International Korean students pursuing theological study in NZ, either for future migration, employment, or further study in Korea or abroad. * Korean professionals integrating Christian worldview into their vocational contexts. * The Korean community in NZ seeking to preserve Korean language and culture through theological education. * Students preparing for postgraduate study in theology or ministry. * Educational pathways across Korean churches and communities in New Zealand, Australia, Korea, and other countries. |

Graduate profile |
GPO 1: Critically analyse and interpret biblical texts using sound hermeneutical methods, with attention to their theological significance and application within specific ministry settings.
GPO 2: Articulate and communicate key aspects of a Christian worldview, with emphasis on the gospel's role in shaping ethical decision-making and personal living. GPO 3: Demonstrate skills in critical thinking and self-directed research, using relevant sources and methods. GPO 4: Critically analyse contemporary issues and challenges impacting Christian ministry and formulate contextually appropriate responses informed by bicultural and multicultural perspectives within Aotearoa New Zealand and Korean ministry contexts. |

Education pathways |
Courses may be cross credited toward the Graduate Diploma in Ministry (Korean Language) and may serve as a foundation for postgraduate study in theology or ministry through Alphacrucis University College Australia, Korean theological institutions, or other NZ providers. The programme supports academic progression for Korean-speaking students in both local and international contexts.

Entry Requirements |
Entry is open to degree graduates. Those who can demonstrate appropriate equivalent practical, professional or educational experience may be considered for admission through a Recognition of Prior Learning process, which will be assessed by the Academic Committee.
NZ Citizens and Permanent Residents must provide evidence of one of the following: * Native Korean speaker with secondary education in Korea and university entrance. * Completion of a degree programme in Korean at a recognised Korean university. * TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) Level 4 or above. Minimum entry age is 18 years. |
