Strategic Purpose Statement |
Graduates will:
be competent to operate as residential landscape designers in a range of employment fields such as landscape design, planting design, landscape management or allied fields; -demonstrate effective design, communication and landscape management skills; -demonstrate effective and confident problem-solving skills and be able to reflect on their own work and the work of others; -Be able to meet the standards set by professional landscape design bodies such as the Landscape Industries Association of New Zealand and the Garden Design Society of New Zealand; -Be able to operate effectively in the New Zealand regulatory environment; -Be able to work independently and co-operatively; -Be able to operate in Aotearoa / New Zealand?s bicultural social arena with an awareness of cultural issues associated with landscape design; -Demonstrate an awareness of environmental issues in the practice of landscape design; |

The credit value relates to the size of the qualification. One credit equates to ten hours of learning. One year's full-time study at a provider is usually 120 credits, but if you are studying part-time or in the work place the credit value may vary.
