Strategic Purpose Statement |
Graduates of the Certificate in Human Services (Social Services) will have gained the skills, knowledge and values needed to work with people in a variety of settings and/or to undertake further education (e.g. Bachelor of Social Work; Diploma in Counselling). Completion of the Certificate in Human Services (Social Services) will enable graduates to work with people at an introductory level within a social services context. Graduates who have completed the Certificate in Human Services with the prescribed health sciences electives would be eligible to apply for the Bachelor of Nursing or the Bachelor of Midwifery.

Entry Requirements |
Academic - 36 Credits in NCEA level 1, with 12 credits in English. Alternative - Evidence of literacy, or ability to study at the appropriate level through study or work or life experience. Additional - Consent to Disclosure of Information Certificate
