Strategic Purpose Statement

The degree may be completed by coursework only or by coursework and thesis. It may be endorsed in Curriculum and Pedagogy, Leadership, Inclusive and Special Education, Literacy, E-Learning and Digital Technologies, Teaching and Learning Languages, Positive Behaviour Support, Hoaka Punamu..

A range of assessments will be used which may include take-home examinations, written assignments (including development to faction plans, critiques of policy documents, descriptive reviews of learning and teaching contexts, reports of field studies carried out in learning environments), oral presentations and teaching resources and tasks. Participation in online learning forums discussions is expected.

Level

The NZQF has ten levels. Level one is least complex and is often entry-level, for example foundation certificates. Levels eight to ten are the most complex, and include post-graduate study.

Credits

The credit value relates to the size of the qualification. One credit equates to ten hours of learning. One year's full-time study at a provider is usually 120 credits, but if you are studying part-time or in the work place the credit value may vary.
