Strategic Purpose Statement |
Graduates will:
·have demonstrated a level of professional competency ·have developed preferred ways of working with clients which are ethical, and client-centred ·apply appropriate well-researched models to the different presenting clients ·have a variety of counselling skills based on different theoretical models ·understand and evaluate the importance of supervision and how to use this effectively in their work ·have a good understanding of their work community and the variety of services provided by associated agencies and specialists ·make appropriate referrals (with the client?s consent) when the client?s issue is beyond the graduate?s level of competence of knowledge and experience eg. Psychiatric assessment ·be committed to on-going training and up skilling ·be expected to have applied for membership of a professional counselling body. |

Entry Requirements |
This is an exit qualification from the Bachelor of Counselling. Students need to enrol for the Bachelor of Counselling and meet the entry requirements for that qualification.
