Entry Requirements |
A candidate for the degree programme will be required to meet one of the following criteria in order to gain entry to the programme:
A school leaver or a candidate of less than 20 years of age will require: - Bursary with at least three C grades - Sixth Form Certificate with 12 or less in four subjects, including English - NCEA ? a candidate will require the following achievements in NCEA: - 42 credits at Level 3 or higher on the NQF, including a minimum of 14 credits at Level 3 (or higher) in each of two subjects from the approved subject list - a further 14 credits at Level 3 (or higher) taken from no more than two additional domains on the NQF or approved subjects - a minimum of 14 credits at Level 1 (or higher) in Mathematics or Pangarau on the NQF - a minimum of 8 credits at Level 2 (or higher) in English or Te Reo Maori (4 in reading and 4 in writing, selected from a schedule of approved achievement and unit standards) - Adult entry - where aged over 20, the candidate will have prior relevant business experience and / or have demonstrated a high degree of commitment to the study programme and is assessed by the School of Business to be highly likely to succeed. Adult candidates will be recommended to seek advice and guidance from the programme leader and / or the Head of School who will help the candidate assess his / her suitability for this study programme. - From other tertiary courses - a candidate having completed, or partially completed other recognised tertiary courses at Level 5 or above, will receive favourable consideration upon application to the Business School. - The minimum entry requirement for international students is IELTS General or Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5 (or equivalent). IELTS scores used must be taken from a single IELTS Test Report Form (i.e. combining scores from more than one test is not permissible). |
