Strategic Purpose Statement |
Graduates of this programme will be able to: Function effectively in intermediate and supervisory positions in supply chain management. Demonstrate a full understanding of technical issues and operational procedures in supply chain management. Work productively in supply chain teams. Communicate effectively within the work team and externally with customers, service providers and principles. Utilise the technological resources available including typical industry software applications to fulfill operational functions. Assess a customers needs and be able to identify, analyse and solve the problems that these may present through evaluating potential solutions and assessing their consequences. Access and analyse information from a variety of sources in order to keep up to date with industry trends. Adapt and respond to changes that occur in industry practice. Think critically; to analyse and evaluate issues that will occur in their work practice. Interact effectively in a multi cultural environment Demonstrate the confidence to question practices that are inappropriate to the work place. Understand and apply the ethical standards of behaviour appropriate to the industry. Demonstrate an awareness of bicultural issues applicable to supply chain management in New Zealand.

The credit value relates to the size of the qualification. One credit equates to ten hours of learning. One year's full-time study at a provider is usually 120 credits, but if you are studying part-time or in the work place the credit value may vary.
