Graduates from this programme will demonstrate ? Teamwork: work co-operatively with a small group or team and interact with others in a culturally safe and respectful manner ? Communicate: (reading, writing, listening, speaking) at a level appropriate to someone entering the Automotive industry or further study at level 4 ? Work ethics: have Automotive working practices of time management, safety, effective communication and co-operation with peers ? Numeracy: understand and practise numeracy skills as appropriate to the Automotive industry, ? Problem Solving: An ability to solve problems in a Automotive context ? Digital literacy: utilise technological resources to support their learning within a Automotive context Graduates of this programme will also be able to demonstrate the following attributes within a motorsport context : ? Demonstrate knowledge of vehicle engine components, layouts and functions ? Demonstrate knowledge of vehicle construction and repair techniques ? Demonstrate knowledge of vehicle refinishing practices ? Carry out service, repair and modification operations under direction and supervision in accordance with current Industry practice ? Acquire knowledge to operate as a self directed learner ? Work in a team environment and to attend to race day requirements ? Adapt to change within the Motor Industry environment ? Continually up-skill to meet the demands of modern technology ? Have the necessary skills, knowledge and aptitude to commence an apprenticeship in the Automotive Industry and to work towards a National Certificate.
