Strategic Purpose Statement |
A single entry and exit degree that offers four optional subject pathways or specialisms: Fine Arts, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Photo Media. The aims of the BFA are to integrate relevant theoretical and contextual knowledge with in-depth, specialist, practical knowledge and skills that are situated within a specific art and design profession of discipline.

Graduate profile |
Graduates will be able to demonstrate appropriate professional skills of planning, executing and presenting work within a critical environment. The programme is creative practitioner focused and designed to meet the professional needs of the wider arts and design industry. It is structured by three key interrelated strands of content: studio practice/research, critical and contextual studies and entrepreneurship.

Entry Requirements |
Applicants must attend an interview at which they present a portfolio containing 12-24 representative samples of their work that reflect their skills and potential to successfully complete the programme. NCEA University Entrance. Discretionary entrance - domestic students over 20 and those with exceptional marks at NCEA L2. International students must be at least 18 and have a minimum English Language level o f6.0 or equivalent.
