Strategic Purpose Statement
The course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills for industry level entry into audio engineering related positions of advanced audio, broadcasting, music and entertainment industries.
Graduate profile
On successful completion of the course the students will be able to demonstrate a broad knowledge base of audio engineering. This will incorporate theoretical concepts in practical procedures, the ability to analyse and plan approaches to solving technical audio engineering related problems, and application of theoretical concepts and technical/creative skills to a range of audio production situations. Students also will be able to take responsibility for their own outputs in relation to broad quantity and quality parameters, and for achievement of work outcomes.

Entry Requirements
Domestic students must be at least 17 years of age, have New Zealand School Certiifcate or NCEA Level 1 Mathematics and Science, and a good command of oral and written English.
International students must be at least 18 years of age, have a qualification equivalent to New Zealand School Certificate or NCEA Level 1 Mathematics and Science and IELTS score of 6.0.

Credits

The credit value relates to the size of the qualification. One credit equates to ten hours of learning. One year's full-time study at a provider is usually 120 credits, but if you are studying part-time or in the work place the credit value may vary.
