The course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills for industry level entry into film making related positions of advanced film, television production and creative arts industries.

Graduate profile |
On successful completion of the course, the students will be able to demonstrate a broad understanding of the theoretical concepts of film making, with substantial depth in some areas; apply theoretical concepts and technical or creative skills to a range of film production situations; analyse and plan approaches to solving technical film-making problems and; take responsibility for own outputs in relation to broad quantity and quality parameters, and the achievement of work outcomes.

Entry Requirements |
Domestic students must be at least 17 years of age, have New Zealand School Certificate or NCEA Level 1 Mathematics and Science, and a good command of oral and written English.
International students must be at least 18 years of age, have a qualification equivalent to New Zealand School Certificate or NCEA Level 1 Mathematics and Science and IELTS score of 6.0. |
