Strategic Purpose Statement |
On completion, students will be able to: understand basic Christian beliefs and their influence on the lives of believers; explain principles and practices of discipleship and evangelism; think critically about differing Christian and other worldviews; gain and use an understanding of human behaviour to highlight and deal with relationship and behaviour problems; identify different responsibilities within church ministries; gain an understanding of serving effectively in a chosen ministry; apply Bible study tools and resources; analyse information and write in different forms; prepare notes for, and communicate their viewpoints on, contemporary issues, orally and in writing; and with practices gained while developing research, writing, and presentation skills, be prepared for study at a higher level.

Entry Requirements |
Students must be aged at least 16 years. Students from non-English speaking backgrounds must demonstrate an English ability equivalent to an intermediate standard as assessed by the Phlair International College entry test. Course content is related to Christian beliefs and ministry; students must be prepared to attend church as required to fulfil the observational components.

The NZQF has ten levels. Level one is least complex and is often entry-level, for example foundation certificates. Levels eight to ten are the most complex, and include post-graduate study.

The credit value relates to the size of the qualification. One credit equates to ten hours of learning. One year's full-time study at a provider is usually 120 credits, but if you are studying part-time or in the work place the credit value may vary.
