Content |
The Poutāhu Whakaakoranga is a one year postgraduate diploma made up of three major categories of subject matter; iwi and hapū studies provides the contextual base within which the learning can occur. The whakaakoranga papers provide the content and te reo Māori is the language of instruction, the medium by which the learning is transmitted.
The first year curriculum of the degree offers a generalist, interdisciplinary programme combining education theory and practice, advanced language studies, technology skills and advanced iwi and hapū studies. It focuses and explores the concept of "ako" in the Māori learning context. |
