Strategic Purpose Statement |
This programme is aimed at giving students the necessary skills and knowledge they require for employment in a licensed or unlicensed cafe. Training takes place at the Bungalow Training Restaurant and the Vault Cafe where students learn the art of barista as well as meeting the needs of customers. While on the programme each student has the opportunity to complete the Certificate in Cafe and Bar Service and the HSI (Hospitality Standards Institute) Certificate in Barista. Your skill may also be further enhanced with a Liquor Licence Controllers qualification at an additional cost.

Entry Requirements |
The major criterion for entry is that the applicant will have a reasonable chance of success. Ø Minimum 4 years secondary education . 18 years of age preferred Ø Minimum grade of C in School Certificate English and Mathematics or NCEA equivalent Ø Prepare
